THE FIFTH ELEMENT: 6.5

An odd, sci-fi flick with a lot of weirdness in it. Some cool, fast paced special effects and a funny final half hour helped a little. A great plot and fantastic base storyline, which could have made a 9 or 10 movie if it were done more seriously and with a little more development. Perhaps I just went in expecting more substance and less shallow, action/adventure.
