McHALE'S NAVY: 6.5

For those who grew up on McHale's Navy, it was interesting (and a little fun) to see a black Ensign Parker and a female Corporal Carpenter. Starting off with a serious plot, it took a bit for the script to get into some comedy, and then it was at a very low level; only a few chuckles and grins and no real belly laughs from this one. Some cool explosions but other than that the movie plodded along pretty slowly.
